Miracle Monday

Most that work “Monday-Friday” would not classify Monday as a miracle to say the least.  “Madness Monday” may be the appropriate term for many.  How many of us have wished for a “restart” button to take us all the way back to Friday at that very moment when you walked out of your place of employment?  The excitement quickly fades away as Saturday and Sunday fly by and you are laying in bed staring at the ceiling mentally preparing yourself for the week ahead.

Where am I going with this you may ask?

What if we lived everyday in total gratitude?

Can you imagine how different our entire week would be?

Instead of aggressively honking our horn at the person in front of us for sitting a second to long at the light would it kill you to be a little more patient?  Accidents, traffic, waking up late, our kids having early morning tantrums or just simply not wanting to face the day ahead.  All of it happens because, it’s LIFE.  However, it does not have to dictate how the rest of our day or week transpires.

“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

-‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:18‬‬ KJV

Starting off our day in the presence of God will positively impact your day in every way possible.  Yes, traffic is still going to be there, kids will still have their moments and you may hit snooze one to many times. However, making a habit of beginning your day seeking his face, will allow you to see the beauty of everyday miracles in everything around you.

What everyday miracles are you grateful for?

  • We always seem to thank him because, it’s Friday but, what happened to the rest of the week?
  • Write a list down of all of the things that you are thankful for no matter how small it’s an everyday miracle.
  • Although your situation may not be the most desirable always keep in mind that it is someone, somewhere  praying to be where you are right now.

“I believe that miracles happen every day. Every person is a miracle. Every moment is a miracle. If only we can open our eyes, we’ll see God’s love everywhere.”

  1. Thanks for the refocus! Many times we loose focus on what’s most important and get caught up on the day to day worries and occurrences. But, as you mentioned in your Blog… Those things will happen and the outcome depends on how we handle them!!
