Divinely Connected

David & Jonathan in my opinion are the most unlikely pair to be divinely connected. Jonathan was King Saul’s son and Saul despised David greatly after he slew the giant Goliath. In spite of Jonathan’s fathers murderous rage towards David. Jonathan loved David greatly and in 1 Samuel 20:4 he established his loyalty to David.

“Then said Jonathan unto David, Whatsoever thy soul desireth, I will even do it for thee.”

-‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭20:4‬‬

“So Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, Let the Lord even require it at the hand of David’s enemies. And Jonathan caused David to swear again, because he loved him: for he loved him as he loved his own soul.”

-‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭20:16-17

How was it that David and Jonathan had a lifelong friendship despite King Saul’s attitude toward David? The two were divinely connected.

A divine connection is someone that God has preordained you to connect with. This connection can be beneficial for several reasons including spiritual maturity, they may help with assisting in discovering your assignment or purpose, they are always excellent accountability partners and they are always God sent. Some last for a season and some last for a lifetime but, God will send each person for a very specific reason at his appointed time.

This blog is inspired by a divine connection made via the you-version bible app we’ve communicated for months now. We started off with a bible study via the app and even fasted/prayed together. But, the funny thing is she doesn’t live in my city or state.  I believe God put us together for a reason and it’s apparent that he has so much more in store. She is like the big sister that I never had and we plan to link up in the near future. Every bit of this new connection has been positive yet, refreshing to connect with someone that truly loves God wholeheartedly.

Have you come in contact with someone that you’ve divinely connected with?

How did their presence in your life impact your spiritual walk?

Was their connection for a season or lifelong?

– Be sure to use discernment.

– Keep in mind that every connection is not a divine connection.

– Remain prayerful as always God will reveal who is for you and who is not.

“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

-‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18:20‬‬

  1. It’s amazing when you let God come in and link and connects strings of his likings today to be bonded . I think it’s all lessons and testing and just greeting in his words sharing it together without all the gossip and drama.
