Childlike faith

Matthew 18:2-4 states:2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. 3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

After my son’s earnest attempt at publishing his first blog. I realized how humble, genuine innocent and pure he was. Granted it may have not been much material to read but, the sincerity of it all has me in awe of how God can truly use anyone no matter their age. It also had me thinking what if in our adulthood we had the same childlike faith? Remaining humble, surrendering all to him, trusting God’s word and being totally unashamed, is truly something that we can learn from children. They don’t care whose around when they are singing their hearts out to God in children’s church. They are always eager to learn more and filled with curiosity. Most importantly their hearts are pure and totally available to allow God to use them.

Have you grown out of your faith? Have life experiences caused you to doubt?

Reflection:
– Ask God for childlike faith especially in those areas that we may lack faith.

– Ask God to increase your spiritual appetite to be in his presence.

– Pray for God to renew and restore your heart. (Psalms 51:10).

We are his children and he is our Heavenly Father he knows exactly what’s best for us.

  1. It is so true. I have post be careful what you pray for. No joke why I don’t know but my son maybe 12 at the time daily in our family prayer time prayed for a limousine and sheep. Well if you saw the post on this. We got the limo. Not all it was chalked up to be. When it pulled up in its superstretch length. I was Lord thing is not happening to me. Then I joked I would not be surprised because of Eli’s fervent prayer if we down to see it and it was filled with sheep. There is more too it. It is just not a good family car, I posted all the reasons for this too. This was his prayer for months too. Well God heard he little heart…
