Counterfeit versus God-sent

There are a lot of us praying and even crying out to God to send our soulmates more than likely sooner than later. It almost seems as though the waiting game will never end so let’s see what the Bible says about waiting on God: Psalms 39:7 states “And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.”
‭We must understand that waiting is a very important part of this process it may not make sense now. But, God’s ways are so perfect and holy (Psalms 18:30) that when he brings all of the pieces of the puzzle together we will truly understand that this was his doing and most of all his will for your life.

Repeat after me!!! What always looks good, smells good or acts good is not always (((GOOD))). Just as counterfeit currency can sometimes pass off as real currency. The same thing can happen in our lives. Perhaps you prayed one night before bed about your future spouse and that same week run into someone in your local grocery store or even church (God is this you???). Do not override the Holy Spirit out of excitement or simply because, you are in a season of loneliness understand that this may truly be a counterfeit trying to pass off as a God-sent.
How can you tell that they may be counterfeit:

1. God is not priority in their life.

2. They have no true intentions of dating you with a purpose.

3. If you start to have a gut feeling or something just feels off it could be the Holy Spirit prompting you that they may not be your God-sent.

Keep in mind that things will always start off good so, pay close attention to their actions while also continuing to pray for a discerning spirit so that you may recognize what is from God and what is not.
We must continue to trust God wholeheartedly as he writes out our beautiful love stories. ❤

“As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.”  Psalms‬ ‭18:30‬‬
